It's all about context!
The Collective Studio is the only Discord server that facilitates monthly design sprints open to all skill levels. Our remote design sprints are a way to ideate, map, prototype, and test usability solutions via Miro and Discord.
How do our sprints work?
We follow a simplified approach to the sprint.
In 2 weeks we define a challenge prompt, empathize with the users, ideate solutions and build prototypes that address the users’ problem. Learn what a sprint is like in this video.

What is a sprint?
“The sprint is a 5 day process for answering critical business questions through designing, prototyping, and testing ideas.”
Design sprints were born out of Google Ventures, the venture capital arm of Alphabet, Inc. They were initially developed to help startups address business challenges they faced.
Our remote sprints are condensed into bite-sized 2-week experiments occuring on weekends. We cover enough of the process to help lead our team into producing a prototype.

How do I sign up for Miro?
We recommend using the desktop version for our sprints.
Step 1. Go to https://miro.com/ then click on Product ➡️ Download app.
Step 2. Register your account for free.
How do I use Miro?
Miro is free and super easy to use. Some of our members with no previous experience have learned to use this software in a few minutes.

Do I need previous experience?
No previous experience is required.
Sprint facilitators will guide you through the process from start to finish. Our free sprint workshops are ideal for beginners or those with some entry-level experience in UX design.
